1960-1980s

1990s
With the internet entering public use, the scope of cybersecurity challenges widens. Infosecurity Europe launches in 1996, creating a much-needed space for professionals to discuss and address emerging cyber threats.
2000s

2003
The first volume of Infosecurity Magazine is released, becoming an essential resource for cybersecurity professionals.
2008
Infosecurity Europe establishes the prestigious Hall of Fame, honouring individuals who have profoundly influenced the industry.
2010s
The industry adapts to the rise of cloud computing, mobile technology, and large-scale data breaches. Regulatory frameworks emphasise privacy and compliance. During this period, Infosecurity Europe continues to grow its influence and impact.
2011
Infosecurity Magazine transitions to Reed Exhibitions (now RX Global), reuniting with Infosecurity Europe to create a unified platform for cybersecurity insights, innovations, and networking opportunities.
2015
The UK’s Most Innovative Cybersecurity SME Competition is introduced in collaboration with the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (now the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology, DSIT). The competition is no longer running, but DSIT has continued to strongly support the event through the Cyber Innovation Zone, which showcases ground-breaking cybersecurity companies.
2016
Infosecurity Europe launches the Leaders Programme, designed to connect senior executives with exclusive content and networking opportunities.
2020s
The current decade is defined by technological velocity and the persistent threat of ransomware and supply chain attacks. Zero-trust architectures, AI-powered tools, and robust resilience strategies take centre stage. Infosecurity Europe reflects these advancements through new initiatives and steadfast community support.
2022
Infosecurity Europe moves to the ExCeL London, opening its doors to a growing audience with larger spaces for collaboration and discussion.
2024
The Women in Cybersecurity event takes place on the main keynote stage for the first time, welcoming over 450 attendees to celebrate women’s achievements and address crucial challenges around diversity and inclusion in the industry.
2025
Infosecurity Europe celebrates 30 years of empowering the cybersecurity community. Milestone events include an anniversary celebration and the introduction of the AI & Cloud Security Theatre.
